Based at Tate Modern and Tate Liverpool, Tate Exchange works with over sixty associates to collaboratively produce a programme that explores the impact of art on individuals, communities, and societies. Each year we explore a theme and work with a Lead Artist to spark debate and engage with issues that matter today. This year we’re talking 'Movement' with artist Tania Bruguera, a role made possible by her selection for the Hyundai Commission. In our first year we explored 'Exchange' with Tim Etchells, and in our second year, 'Production' with Clare Twomey.
Tate Exchange in London is located on the fifth floor of Tate Modern’s Blavatnik Building. Every day is different and everything is free. Our Associates and colleagues from across Tate create a packed programme of artists, responses, workshops, talks and events, where you can join the conversation and collaborate in art making – anything from building a boat, a dance class, painting a mural, or sitting down and having a chat with the person next to you over a cup of tea.
Tate Exchange will host Picturing Climate at Tate Modern, London, between November 28th and December 1st, 2019.
